Project ‘Aarde’
a research into raw material and its derived variants by means of focus, alertness, integration, implementation and application
Earth-slabs on a plint
earth-slabs needed to be created
new roots had been gathered
roots had been rinsed out and dried
remnants had been collected, sorted
drained and processed
more roots needed to be gathered as plan took shape
many steps before final step
many weeks of drying
presentation
Earth Imprints
remnant material needed to be drained
frames created / fabric stretched
drained remnant material removed
drawings remained
new remnant materials
new approaches / new results
a proces of 5 x 5
presentable, hinge-able, interchange-able

Research into Movement of Matter – a Loop Video
controlled variables: 14 stacked earth-slabs, a plint, a wall, horizontal viewpoint, an inside area, 3 days
independent variable: atmosphere
dependent variable: is there movement in the earth-slabs?
To record any possible proof of movement, one photo per minute is taken for 3 days. Observing the video the matter turned out to be stable. The in reality motionless main objects became instead set in a playground of unexpected subtle adventures at the same time diffusing and/or confusing the mind.
